MAKE SENTENCES - VERBS (SET NO. 2)

Use the following verbs in your own sentences.
(i) Detect: Some sounds cannot be detected by the human ear.
(ii) Distract: If the TV distracts you from your studies, turn it off.
(iii) Emphasize: We can use inverted commas or capitals to emphasize a word in a piece of writing.
(iv) Encounter: In our lives, we all encounter stress and difficulties which we must overcome.
(v) Entertain: The children sang and danced to entertain the crowd.
(vi) Eradicate: Smallpox has almost been eradicated.
(vii) Herald: A sharp wing often heralds a storm.
(viii) Migrate: The Holy Prophet (SAW) migrated from Makkah to Madinah in the year 622 A.D.
(ix) Proclaim: It was the famous speech in which he proclaimed that socialism was dead.
(x) Possess: We do not possess much, but we are rich in family.
