DAY SIXTEEN - MAKE SENTENCES 
And Learn Parts of Speech

1. Use the following words (adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions) in your own sentences. 
(i) Buoyant: Wood is light and buoyant. 
(ii) Commendable: Patriotism is considered a commendable quality. 
(iii) Dormant: The long-dormant volcano has recently shown signs of erupting. 
(iv) Flamboyant: Girls often wear flamboyant clothes at parties to make people notice them. 
(v) Impending: Old age is a sign of impending death. 
(vi) Impressive: There are very impressive buildings in big cities. 
(vii) Influential: The Holy Quran is the most influential book in the world. 
(viii) Integral: Computers have become an integral part of our lives. 
(ix) Responsible: The city council is responsible for keeping the streets clean. 
(x) Resolute: Our government is resolute in countering terrorism. 
(xi) Sluggish: A heavy lunch makes me sluggish in the afternoon. 
(xii) Eagerly: I am eagerly waiting for my result. 
(xiii) Furiously: "Get out of here!" she shouted furiously. 
(xiv) Instantly: She was knocked down by a car and killed instantly. 
(xv) Loudly: We all laughed loudly when she made a joke.
(xvi) Quietly: He slipped quietly out of the back door. 
(xvii) Whom: This is the boy with whom I went to school. 
(xviii) Whose: This is the boy whose brother is a doctor. 
(xix) Behind: I hung my coat behind the door. 
(xx) Beside: Our school has been built right beside a river. 

2. Use the following parts of speech, idioms and phrasal verbs in your own sentences. 
(i) Care: The standard of care at our local hospital is excellent.
(ii) Dazzling: She shielded her eyes against the dazzling sun.
(iii) Impact: The storm had a bad impact on the crops.

(xii) Man in the street: Politicians rarely care what the man in the street thinks.

(xix) Give away: Hazrat Asma (RA) gave away all the money to the poor and the needy.
(xx) Pass through: When two galaxies collide, they actually pass through each other.
